After registering an account on deviantART back in 2008, I did not realise that I have been inactive for so long! Until last week, when I was somehow feeling down and was looking for an outlet.
I finally uploaded some works last week and all I can say that the community over there is great. I must say that it’s a good environment to get your art up there and witness the response from the users. You can even get some good critique on your work if you’re up to it. Regardless of whether you’re a beginner, an amateur or professional, I would say it’s a level playing field over there.

On this day, we had to set off before sunrise in order to get through a mountain pass before the road works start or else we might end up waiting 3-4 hours (!) for the pass to clear.
We were also lucky to get some clear skies after all that unexpected downcast weather before.
This layering effect of mountains was what I have always dreamt of capturing. The crisscrossing of the lines to meet at the valleys and the foreground and background perspective created by the mist make for an interesting effect.
I will currently processing and editing images from my Bhutan trip as much as I can. Normally, quite a lot of time is spent on each image for the selection, adjustments of white balance, colour, cropping etc, but I will post each of them as I finish, like what is being done for the past few blog posts you can see here.
