Cliff Mautner mentions on his blog that the new 85mm performs much better than the old version, and wins hands down. Based on these samples alone, the new lens does look promising.
Even Bjorn (here and here) commented that it’s one of the best lenses that he has tested, giving it a maximum rating of 5 on FX as well as DX.

After the announcement of the new Nikon D3100 and 4 new lenses, the internet has been full of comments, as well as complaints, and sample images taken with the new lenses/camera.

Nikon has just announced a new entry-level body, and 4 new lenses to its legendary Nikkor lineup.

As mentioned before, I was interested to find out details regarding the ISO figures for the D3100. It turned out that the native ISO range goes up to 3200, while both 6400 and 12800 are “Hi” settings.

I have been away for the past month for a trip to the Last Frontier – Alaska, and the Rockies. This was the furthest that I have travelled and it was a very fulfilling trip. I strongly recommend Alaska for anyone interested in the “real” wilderness as well as wildlife. Visit the Rockies too for turquoise lakes and majestic vistas, not to say wildlife as well.

For the same keyword in your images, you are competing with thousands, probably tens of thousands of other images with the same keyword, so the chances of your image hitting the bottom of the list is in fact quite high. Compared to the month of April, I managed to double my income from microstock photography for the month of May at my biggest earner, Shutterstock. It was tough, but well worth the time and effort spent. The biggest reason for this achievement was perhaps due to the number of images submitted, which was also roughly 2 times that of April.
